Quick Program Facts
- Our medical management degree program is an 18-month, cohort-based program, taught in a hybrid online/on-campus format.
- This program is a professional degree program exclusively for physicians with five or more years of post-residency experience. Prospective students who are interested in health care leadership, policy, and innovation, but do not possess a medical degree (MD or DO), should consider the Master of Science in Health Care Analytics (MSHCA) program.
- Physicians receive one-on-one professional development with coaches who specialize in physician executive career advancement.
- As part of the program, we invite our physicians to Carnegie Mellon University's Washington, D.C., location, where they spend time with health policy professionals—clinician and non-clinician—and study the realities and effects of health care strategy in government.
- Graduates of our Master of Medical Management program pursue a diverse range of career paths that blend clinical expertise with business acumen. Many find leadership roles in health care organizations, such as hospital administration, where they can influence policy and operational decisions. Others venture into the insurance realm. They work for transplant institutes, universities and cancer centers.

What attracted me to the MMM is that it's a concentrated type of curriculum that targets what we need, not only as physicians to move on and take care of our patients better and more effectively, but also adding new skill sets that make us more marketable.Dr. Katie Farah | MMM '24
