MSIT Dual Degrees
The Heinz College MSIT Program has a dual degree partnership with Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico (ITESM). Dual degree programs have distinct admissions requirements, please contact the Admissions office for more information.
Duration: 2.5 years
Working IT professionals in Mexico, Central America, and South America have the option of earning dual degrees in information technology management from Carnegie Mellon University and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). While the program is mainly completed online, there is a required week at both universities, giving students an exciting opportunity to network with peers and meet esteemed faculty while completing hands-on exercises.
The MSIT-MTI program is a unique and dynamic multi-cultural education for future technology leaders, culminating in two prestigious degrees from two renowned universities.
Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)
Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College
Maestría en Administración de Tecnologías de Información (MTI)
Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, México
Students must complete applications for both Heinz College and ITESM and be accepted into both programs.
Heinz College application deadline: May 1 (online programs only)
ITESM application deadline: Rolling
MSIT-MTI applicants who submit all required materials to both institutions before Heinz College's May 1 deadline may receive early notification. Late applications will be accepted as long as seats remain in the class and sufficient time remains to register for mandatory MSIT-MTI orientation week on-campus at Carnegie Mellon University in July.
Please note MSIT-MTI is a dual degree program track, not an exchange/study abroad program.
Financial aid and scholarships are available for MSIT-MTI from both Heinz College and ITESM. Please contact each school's admissions office for more information.
