Congratulations on your admission to Heinz College!

We’re so excited to welcome you to our community and help you start your Heinz journey as a masters student.

Over the next few months, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with us, learn more about life at Heinz College, and meet the people who make our community so special.

Join us for:

  • Coffee Chats in cities around the United States
  • Virtual Hangouts to get the inside scoop on student life
  • Open House Info Sessions about academics, career support, and financial aid (Virtual Open House sessions will be held Monday, March 23, 2026 to Thursday, March 26.
  • And finally, our in-person Open House Weekend, the highlight event that brings it all together! (Open House Weekend will be held Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. Additional details for our in-person weekend are below the calendar.)

In-Person Open House Weekend


We are excited to welcome you to Pittsburgh on March 27 and 28. Friday's events will allow you to tour campus, meet faculty, and attend a financial aid presentation. Saturday’s events will focus on your Heinz College experience; starting at 9 AM experience the classroom, connect with your program community, learn about the Student Experience at Heinz, and discover a little of what Pittsburgh has to offer.

  • Travel Subsidy

    Heinz College is pleased to offer a Travel Subsidy to admitted students who will travel more than 200 miles round trip to attend Admitted Student Open House.

    Please make note of the following details:
    You must be in attendance at Admitted Student Open House on Saturday, March 28, 2026 to receive the Travel Subsidy. Additionally, the Travel Subsidy may be applied to only ONE of the following methods of transportation:

    • Airfare
    • Bus Fare
    • Train Fare
    • Rental Car
    • Personal Vehicle, reimbursed at $0.25 per mile traveled 

    Airfare will be reimbursed up to $450. All other methods of transportation will be reimbursed up to $300.

    Lodging and ground transportation expenses (including taxi, Lyft and/or Uber fare) are not eligible expenses for the Travel Subsidy.

    A link to access the request form will be available upon registration for March 28. Please complete the request form by March 25, 2026. For questions, please contact Senior Associate Director of Admissions Carrie Rote.
