95-728
Units: 6
Description
This is a core requirement for Heinz's AIM program. AIM students will be prioritized for this course.
Designed for future managers, this course prepares students to evaluate and justify AI investments in internal operations and customer-facing products. Using managerial finance tools—such as Net Present Value (NPV), time value of money, discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling, and financial statement analysis—students assess the cost, risk, and return of AI initiatives. The course emphasizes capital allocation, ROI modeling, and strategic cost-benefit analysis in the context of enterprise-level AI adoption. Students gain hands-on experience building financial models and translating technical AI opportunities into defensible executive-level investment decisions. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to build, evaluate, and defend the business case for AI from a leadership perspective.
