Martin Barrett


Associate Teaching Professor

Martin Barrett is an Associate Teaching Professor at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.

His teaching career of 20+ years has focused on software engineering, operating systems and distributed systems, software design and architecture, and programming. He has supervised many student project groups at both the undergraduate and masters levels.

Marty is a certified Scrum Master, has taken many courses in software architecture and other topics from the Software Engineering Institute, published a textbook, and has been active in the computer science education community since 1989.
