Master of Medical Management Admitted Student Portal

Accept your offer of admission by submitting the admission offer response form (via the link added to the bottom of your application status page after you view your letter). Please also be sure to submit the $1,000 USD deposit by the response deadline indicated in your online admission letter. A link to pay this deposit is also included in your admission letter. By taking these actions, you will confirm your seat in MMM.  

We want to be sure you have answers to all of your questions as you evaluate your admission offer and prepare to join the upcoming cohort of physicians starting the MMM this year. Please contact Bridget Jakub in the admissions office if you have questions about information in your admission letter (jakub@cmu.edu). 

Within 5 days of the date you accept your admission offer, you should receive an email entitled “Action Required: Your Andrew userID Has Been Created” from it-help@cmu.edu. The email will provide instructions on how to receive your Andrew userID, set a password, and enroll in two-factor authentication (2fa) with DUO, Carnegie Mellon’s multi-factor authentication service provider.  Please be sure to check your spam folder in the event the email does not appear in your inbox. (If you have a current Andrew ID, please contact Bridget Jakub in the admissions office to help ensure that your existing Andrew ID is associated with your MMM student record at CMU).

Deadline: Within 5 days of receiving the email, “Action Required: Your Andrew userID Has Been Created”, from it-help@cmu.edu..

If you have any questions or missed/did not receive the Andrew userID email, please send an email to Bridget Jakub (jakub@cmu.edu) in the Heinz College Admissions Office for assistance. Bridget will assist as quickly as possible, coordinating with the IT-HELP team as needed.

Your Andrew Account provides access to secure CMU websites

The MMM Office will share more information about your Andrew Account in the coming weeks - and during your first on-site session for MMM.

If you would like to get an early start on using your Andrew Account or CMU email, the following information may be helpful.

Your Andrew Account (Andrew ID + Password) is your key to accessing all secure CMU systems that you will use as a student - including a few mentioned in the onboarding video below (Canvas, SIO, CMU email)l. More info: Account and Identity Management at CMU

CMU Email Address

Your Andrew userID is used to create your official university Andrew email address as follows:

Please note that prior to your first on-site session, you may receive important email messages at your CMU email address and/or the email address that you used to submit your application. 

After you begin classes, all CMU faculty and staff will contact you at your CMU email address. 

Please submit a half-page bio and a photo to Rebekah Apple, MMM Program Director, at rebekaha@andrew.cmu.edu.

Your online letter of admission may include one or more of the following pre-enrollment conditions.  If you do not see any of the conditions listed below in your online letter of admission, you are not required to submit any additional information.

Any conditions mentioned in your admission letter must be satisfied prior to September 1 of the year you will begin your studies in MMM. Please contact Bridget Jakub (jakub@cmu.edu) in the admissions office if you have any questions or concerns about conditions included in your admission offer.

Typical pre-enrollment conditions include:

1. Completion of prerequisites (coursework in Finance AND Communication). Send an electronic/scanned copy of certificate(s) of completion and/or transcripts to Bridget Jakub in the admissions office (jakub@cmu.edu). Coursework is subject to verification with the education provider by the admissions office. Approved pre-requisite coursework is described here: MMM Prerequisite Course Information [downloadable PDF] and listed on the MMM Application Process website and described. MMM students must register/pay for and complete this coursework on their own.  Heinz College will not register you for prerequisite courses.  
2. "Entire" Masters Program with the American Association for Physican Leadership (90.5 hours or more completed). For those who have completed or will be completing this program before September 1 to qualify for the associated MMM tuition discount ($600 per semester), an official transcript must be submitted.  Please ask the Association (cpe@physicianleaders.org) to send your official transcript directly to Bridget Jakub (jakub@cmu.edu) in the admissions office.  If you are already receiving a scholarship that exceeds $600 per semester, please note that additional scholarship may not be applied to your student account. If you are completing only the 3 courses with the American Association for Physician Leadership to satisfy the prerequisites in finance (1 course) and communications (2 courses), you will not receive this discount.  You will find more information here: MMM Prerequisite Course Information [downloadable PDF].
3. Final, official academic transcript(s) for medical school and/or undergraduate studies - required if mentioned in your admission letter. Contact Bridget Jakub (jakub@cmu.edu) in the admissions office to learn how to have required transcript(s) submitted.

All orientation information will be shared by the MMM Program Office when available, including details about your first on-site session and pre-session work. This information is usually sent in June.

The MMM Office will auto-enroll you in your courses and send you the materials you need to prepare for onsite sessions.

The MMM Office usually sends the first shipment of materials in June for use in work that you must complete before your first on-site session in September. 

Login to CMU's SIO portal to verify your shipping address. (You will need to login with your Andrew Account - see Step 2 above to activate and use your Andrew Account.)

Please note that this "pre-work" is separate from the prerequisite classes in health finance and communication that you may need to complete.

Not all students are required to complete the Credentials Verification process. You will see the Credential Verification requirement mentioned in your admission letter if you must complete this process to verify information shared in your application for admission.

Heinz College is committed to ensuring the integrity of our admission process and the reputation of our educational programs. We also want to protect and enhance the value of the degrees that we confer. Because of this commitment, we have hired a third-party provider, ProVerify (powered by Application Verification, Inc.), to verify the information provided in each student's application for admission. The purpose of this verification process is to protect all stakeholders of the program (including students, faculty, staff and alumni) from those who would falsify their backgrounds to gain an unfair advantage in the admission process. The verification is performed after admission to the College to ensure Heinz receives information only about enrolling students. You will not have to pay ProVerify for this verification to be performed. 

We view this process as a partnership with our incoming students in maintaining the high ethical and professional standards of Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. Our verification process includes validating academic information, professional work experience including duration/title (we do not verify salary data), and recommendation information.

1. You will receive an email message from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College automation@instascreen.net, with the Subject: "Credential Verification Disclosure and Authorization Form." This message will be sent to the email address you provided in your application for admission. This email will include a link to an electronic Disclosure and Authorization Form.
2. Complete this form at your earliest convenience, to allow ProVerify to verify information provided on the application for admission. ProVerify will complete the verification and report your status back to Heinz College.
3. Upon receiving your verification report, Heinz College will inform you of your status via email.

• In most cases, you will not need to do anything other than submitting your release. However, in some cases, you may be asked to provide supporting documentation (such as a your SSN, diploma/degree, or a past pay slip). All requests for supporting documentation will come via email directly from Proverify representatives (via phone or an email address ending in '@applicationverification.com') and will only be asked if the originating materials submitted cannot be used to complete the process.
• If you wish to verify the authenticity of any request you receive, you may contact ProVerify's customer service directly at +1-412-349-6001 / info@applicationverification.com or reach out to the Office of Admissions at Heinz College directly at 412-268-2164 / hnzadmit@andrew.cmu.edu.
• Please know that all inquiries may not be completed via email. You may be required to email, call, or fax additional information as needed during the verification process, including a second release form with a "wet signature." We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If ProVerify or Heinz College contacts you to request additional information, please understand we are working to complete your verification as quickly as possible.
