Alberto works as the Process and Continuous Improvement Deputy Director at Cinépolis, which is the fourth largest film exhibition chain in the world with 5,426 screens in 14 countries.

Cinépolis has become the largest chain in Latin America and the fourth largest in the world with 664 theaters and 5,426 digital screens throughout Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Chile, India, Spain, Argentina and the United States. During 2017 Cinépolis achieved the second biggest attendance worldwide (after AMC) with 338.4 million patrons.

Alberto is responsible of the standardization of operational business models on a global basis (14 countries on 3 continents) for Cinépolis, which has been a key part of the exponential growth of the company. His focus is on allowing the replication of the business units through the establishment of operational procedures and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction, and – at the same time, confirming that the value proposition for each country is met.

Alberto has also been a strategy consultant for the COO during the last 7 years. His academic background is in Industrial Engineering with a Master degree in Quality and Productivity Systems.  He also has a MBA at IPADE Business School. In addition to his work with Carnegie Mellon University, Alberto has been teaching Process Management & Continuous Improvement topics for the last 12 years at the Monterrey Tech in Mexico.
