Tina Batra Hershey


Adjunct Faculty

TINA BATRA HERSHEY, JD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she teaches courses on health care compliance and health law and ethics.

In addition, Ms. Hershey is the Assistant Director for Law and Policy at the Center for Public Health Practice at Pitt Public Health where she researches legal and ethical issues related to the delivery of health care, as well as public health preparedness, response, and recovery.

Before coming to Pitt Public Health, Ms. Hershey was a health care attorney in Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh. Her practice included counseling clients regarding contractual issues and federal and state fraud concerns, including anti-kickback, self-referral, false claims, and false billings issues; negotiating civil settlement and corporate integrity agreements; developing and evaluating corporate compliance programs; and conducting health regulatory due diligence.
