Director of Acquisitions, Original Films at Netflix
Matt Brodlie is currently Director of Acquisitions, Original Films at Netflix. In this role, Matt oversees all acquisitions activities for the Original Films team.
Prior to this position, Matt was the Executive Vice President, Acquisitions of Relativity Media. Previous to his role at Relativity, Matt ran Exclusive Releasing, a distribution company for Exclusive Media.
Before Exclusive, Matt ran Paramount’s Worldwide Acquisitions Group, overseeing domestic and international acquisitions of both packaged and completed films. He was also responsible for local co-productions in the many territories outside the US where Paramount distributes. He joined the company in April of 2006, overseeing productions for Paramount Vantage such as Michael Winterbottom’s A MIGHTY HEART starring Angelina Jolie and THE DUCHESS starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes.
Previous to this, Matt was Senior Vice President of Production and Acquisitions for TriStar Pictures. He oversaw all aspects of production on Ryan Murphy’s RUNNING WITH SCISSORS (starring Annette Bening) and PREMONITION (starring Sandra Bullock), among others.
Previous to TriStar, Matt was at Miramax Films for just over ten years where he was Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Co-Productions. Matt lives in Los Angeles and is a graduate of Stanford University.
