J. Zachary Ciccone
Adjunct Faculty
Entrepreneurship, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
Zachary teaches coursework in entrepreneurship, negotiation and workplace communications and, as an entrepreneur-operator, is deeply passionate about turning founders' vision into operational excellence. His graduate coursework at the School of Public Policy, Information Systems and Management is tailored to students pursuing careers in robotics and AI, entertainment, technology, engineering, policy and non-profit management.
Zachary's Negotiation courses are rooted in a social psychological approach to creating influence and value, combining the social, perceptual and emotional consequences of a negotiation. Students learn to embrace their presence, natural presentation, and influence perception at the negotiating table. His Entrepreneurship course A New Venture focuses on design-build, using a rapid, systemic approach to research, define, envision and assess the best path forward for a new organization. He believes that building a scalable business requires the right architecture and one founded in people, purpose, and non-zero sum profits.
Zachary lives in Pittsburgh, Pa where he is a founder and Managing Principal of Partnered Company.
