Lena Dickinson

Adjunct Faculty

A class of 2008 MAM alumna and avid arts supporter, Lena Dickinson recently relocated back home to Pittsburgh from Chicago where she worked at the intersection of human-centered design and business strategy.

As a consultant she brought together a business lens, a strong research approach, and a passion for understanding the user to design products, services, and strategies for a range of clients from non-profit arts organizations to Fortune 50 enterprises. Additionally, she designed and led Leadership Development and Design Thinking at the University of Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, as well as facilitating workshops for other universities and clients. Lena began her career in the arts singing opera, before working at the Pittsburgh Opera and serving on the Chicago Lyric Young Professional Board. She earned an undergraduate and graduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from University of Chicago.

Lena is eager to bring her eclectic arts and consulting background and learnings from her System Synthesis experience to support current Heinz students as they embark on this exciting Capstone project.
