John Mattiace is an Adjunct Instructor in Heinz College. He earned his Masters in Statistics from Penn State in 2024. His thesis focused on computational methods to model interactions between breastfeeding and vaccination in conferring immunity to infants. At Penn State, he taught numerous undergraduate statistics courses, including an Introduction to Probability Theory, Elementary Mathematical Statistics, Experimental Methods, and Stochastic Processes. His teaching philosophy centers on creating a positive learning environment that fosters and supports active student learning.
