Throughout the academic year, Heinz College students participate in special events that foster camaraderie, educate, entertain, and benefit the entire Heinz College community.

At the beginning and end of each academic year, students gather at the beautiful Schenley Park for delicious food, music, lots of great outdoor activities, and fun in the sun.

Black History Month


In February, Heinz College students celebrate Black History Month by reliving the narrative of black poets through their work, sharing powerful words from throughout the decades that resonate today.

Heinz Forum


The Heinz Forum is a monthly, student-led discussion of current policy topics. The Forum gives students an opportunity to share their opinions and hear what their fellow classmates have to say.

US Army War College Exercise


Working with the US Army War College and mentors, Heinz College students work in teams representing different countries to negotiate the best solution to a tough, real-world, stalemated crisis.
