Sumeet Chabria Joins Executive Education Team at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College


Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) announced today that Sumeet Chabria will join CMU’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy serving as an Executive Education Program Instructor. In this position, Chabria will serve as an industry expert within the CMU Chief Information and Digital Officer Programs and lend his experience to expand the college’s technology, digital, and AI executive education offerings.

In addition to this role with Heinz College, Chabria serves as the CEO of ThoughtLinks where he leads an AI strategy firm dedicated to guiding enterprises through the complexities of AI adoption responsibly and at scale. Before ThoughtLinks, Chabria, in a dual role, led more than 45,000 professionals as Bank of America’s Head of Global Business Services and also served as the COO for global technology and operations, a 90,000-person organization across 30 countries. Prior to his seven-year tenure at Bank of America, Chabria acquired 24 years of leadership experience in the United States and in Europe. Notably based out of London, he was the Global CIO for Banking & Markets and led "One HSBC," a transformation program targeting securities and wealth management businesses.

Chabria was featured in Business Insider’s 100 People Transforming Business list and led the HSBC team to win the Euromoney Technology Award, among other accolades.

Chabria holds master’s degrees in management and technology as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stony Brook University, where he delivered the 2020 commencement address. He has completed executive education at the University of Michigan’s Ross School, IMD Lausanne Switzerland, and London Business School.
