Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy and Ajou University, Suwon, Republic of Korea, today announced a partnership establishing an accelerated master’s program for undergraduate students at Ajou University.
The collaborative program will allow top students from Ajou University to complete their bachelor’s degree from Ajou University and a master’s degree from Heinz College in less time than traditional dual-degree programs. Through the program, which is set to welcome its inaugural cohort in August 2026, select Ajou University students will complete three years of undergraduate study at Ajou University before transferring to CMU’s Pittsburgh, PA campus to begin their graduate coursework at Heinz College.
"This partnership not only accelerates the professional development of talented students from Ajou University but also fosters a larger global perspective across both of our communities," said Kirsten Martin, H. John Heinz Dean of Heinz College. “We look forward to welcoming Ajou University students to our campus.”
The accelerated master’s program will offer up to ten Ajou University students the opportunity to earn master’s degrees at Heinz College in the fields of artificial intelligence systems management, information systems management, information security policy and management, public policy and management as well as health care analytics and information technology. Students will complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in as little as four years, depending on their course of study.
