Save the Date for Orientation: Attendance Required

All incoming students attend a Program Welcome and Orientation session, held live via Zoom. The dates and times for your specific incoming cohort's Program Welcome and Orientation session will be listed below when they have been scheduled (typically held 1-2 weeks before your first day of classes).

An email with registration instructions will be sent to you a few weeks ahead of the start of your first semester with additional details.

In addition to the Program Welcome, we strongly encourage all enrolling students to view the following videos.

  • Admissions Welcome and Onboarding: This video provides new incoming students with an important overview of the resources CMU and Heinz College have in place ahead of starting your degree program. You will learn about the Enrolling Student Checklist, The HUB, Heinz offices in the building, computing preparation, and more!
  • Financial Aid and Student Accounts Overview: Admissions and Financial Aid staff have prepared a presentation to help incoming students with making the necessary arrangements for financing your graduate studies.
