Several benefits are provided to all PPIA JSI fellows and several are provided for Heinz College JSI students exclusively.
1. Graduate School Scholarship Incentives
Students who have successfully completed any PPIA Junior Summer Institute and areadmitted to the Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) program at the Heinz College are offered a generous scholarship. The current award to PPIA alums is a Full (100%) tuition scholarship and $6,000 stipend per year. Other universities in the PPIA consortium offer other scholarship packages.
2. Career Services Workshops
Career Services provides top tier services to students, alumni, and employers. They will partner with you to provide effective tools and resources for graduate school search and development and guide you for life after college. They will help perfect your resume and teach you how to highlight your accomplishments.
3. Office of Admissions & Program Directors
PPIA fellows will each have the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with admissions and program staff members to learn more about applying to graduate school and preparing for life after college.
4. Undergraduate Course Credit
Credit earned in your PPIA courses will often transfer to your undergraduate institution. This would decrease the number of credits you would need to complete in the final semesters of your undergraduate program. Please refer to your home institution's transfer-credit policyto determine if you are permitted to transfer in credit from your PPIA coursework.
