Generative AI Lab
94-844
Units: 6
Description
Pre- Req for PPM students 90819
This lab course immerses students in the exciting world of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) through practical, hands-on experiences. Designed to complement theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, this course equips students with the skills and expertise needed to build and deploy GenAI models across diverse domains.
Through a combination of interactive labs, coding exercises, and collaborative projects, students will gain a deep understanding of GenAI techniques and their practical implementation. Throughout the course, students will also engage in peer-to-peer learning and real-world problem solving. By the end of the lab course, students will have hands-on experience with various GenAI techniques and will be prepared to apply these skills in research, industry, and creative applications.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand and explain the theory behind various GenAI models.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to control and guide generative models effectively.
- Develop skills in using modern AI frameworks and libraries for generative tasks.
- Design experiments to systematically evaluate the performance and limitations of GenAI models.
- Address ethical considerations and societal impacts of GenAI models.
