MSHCPM Dual Degrees
The Heinz College MSHCPM Program has a dual degree partnership with the Tepper School of Business. Dual degree programs have distinct admissions requirements, please contact the Admissions office for more information.
Duration: 2.5 years
Further your expertise in business management as you pursue your Heinz College MSHCPM alongside a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's renowned Tepper School of Business. This dual-degree track, which will equip you with deep knowledge of policy skills and management strategies, is ideal for students with an interest in business leadership for private sector health organizations.
Students in this five-semester dual degree option spend their first two semesters taking core courses at Tepper. The three remaining semesters are integrated.
Master of Science in Health Care Policy and Management (MSHCPM)
Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business
Students must complete applications for both Heinz College and Tepper and be accepted into both programs—students must therefore take the GMAT or GRE (although note that GMAT is the preferred test for Tepper).
Admission to the MSHCPM-MBA dual degree program can be granted prior to or during the first year of study at Tepper, meaning first-year students at Tepper can still seek admission into the MSHCPM-MBA track and stay on the five-semester dual-degree schedule. Students cannot begin the MSHCPM-MBA dual degree at Heinz.
Heinz College application deadline: January 10
Tepper School application deadline: Rolling
Financial aid and scholarships are available for MSHCPM-MBA from both Heinz College and Tepper. Please contact each school’s admissions office for more information.
