Training the Next Generation of Public Servants With Novel Approaches to Civic Engagement

To promote civic engagement amongst our students, we must prepare them with a robust understanding of policy, politics, and data. These realms are continuing to shift and evolve in 2021 and beyond. It’s imperative that we as policy schools examine novel ways of training our students to more deeply understand the political landscape and how it influences policy, to be conscientious voices in the civic square, and to utilize data to drive evidence‐based change that can make a difference. This panel brings together educators to talk about innovative approaches to civic engagement and education at their institutions.
