Heinz College hosts a large number of faculty and other experts whose work, research, or methodological expertise includes or intersects with economic development policy and practice in the United States.
These includes faculty and staff who are formally affiliated with the College's Center for Economic Development (CED), CED affiliated adjunct faculty, and faculty and instructors who are not affiliated with the Center, but who teach relevant courses at Heinz.

The knowledge, experience, and interests of CED affiliated faculty and staff reflect the Heinz College’s interdisciplinary approach to policy analysis. These individuals have engaged policy and management questions in economic development and its related domains from a variety of disciplinary vantage points, with a variety of tools, in a variety of roles including researcher, practitioner, and policymaker
