Health Care at Heinz College
For more than 20 years, Heinz College has conducted innovative research and provided educational programming in the health care industry. Health care is ripe with data to analyze and convert into action and impact, and the stakes are as high as they come: Using data to improve health care can change people's lives, and in some cases save them.
Students in our health care program experience the renowned Pittsburgh health care sector, which boasts two major health systems—the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Allegheny Health Network—in addition to world-class hospitals, skyrocketing investment in new facilities and technologies, and start-up incubators that drive entrepreneurship. Our students and faculty partner with these organizations to pursue groundbreaking health-care research.
Currently, Heinz College has multiple programs through which you can acquire the skills to become a leader in the health care industry. These programs include our Master of Science in Health Care Analytics; the Health Policy concentration in our Master of Science in Public Policy and Management program; the Health Informatics concentration in our Master of Information Systems Management program; and our hybrid Master of Medical Management program, exclusively for physicians with five or more years of post-residency experience.
